Two Days of Action!

Two days of action! TODAY and TOMORROW @5PM: Stand with Bus Riders, WeGo Workers and Construction Workers in Demanding Justice

Join us for two days of action! Today, February 4, 2019 at 5PM at Music City Central stand with bus riders and WeGo workers to demand racial and economic equality in Nashville’s public transit and quality jobs for transit workers! Protected cross walks, bus shelters, and benches at stops shouldn’t be just for tourists, wealthy communities, and university students. We need basic safety measures now to protect ALL bus riders from the risks of crossing busy streets and from having to stand waiting in the cold.

Tomorrow, February 5, 2019 at 5PM at City Hall, join Nashville Metro Council members, community members, and construction workers to stand up against wage theft! In May 2018, workers were fired from the work site of the JW Marriott luxury hotel and found themselves missing 2 weeks worth of pay, according to a federal lawsuit they filed against 2 subcontractors of the multinational corporation Skanska. One week after a worker-led delegation to Skanska offices in December 2018, Skanska counter-sued the workers!

Who matters in Nashville? Is it everyday bus riders, WeGo workers, and construction workers, or is it rich tourists and developers? Join us to make sure our city starts working for ALL of us!

Can we count on you?
