Hi Monthly Donors,
Thanks for your support! Monthly sustaining donors give $5770 each year to Workers’ Dignity. Your contributions pay for 8 months of rent and electricity for our new organizing center – the space where we hold Labor Rights workshops, strategy discussions for campaigns against abusive bosses, leadership trainings, and our recent Freedom School. This will also be the center we use to launch our next workplace campaign. As a recent participant in the Freedom School and newly elected Steering Committee member, I cannot tell you how much it means to me to have a center to organize from.
As you know, we are hosting an exciting weekend of festivities for Labor Day, including the 1st Labor Day Parade in Nashville in decades and our annual fundraising picnic. We have set a goal of raising $10,000 with the picnic and a short fall fund drive. To reach our goal, we launched a simple online fundraising page through Causes.com, which allows you to invite people to donate through Facebook, Twitter, and Email.
We would love if you could spread the word to Facebook friends and Twitter followers. Could you invite them to donate? Just $245 more in monthly contributions (or $2930 in 1-time donations) covers the cost of an entire year’s rent and electricity for our organizing center or low-wage workers.
