We did it! We raised $42,561 to celebrate our 10th Anniversary! Thank you to the 226 people who donated and to everyone that helped phonebank, watched our online events, volunteered, and helped spread the word. The worker center is what the workers and people make of it, and we’re so grateful for everyone who has been a member or supporter in struggle and solidarity with us over the last 10 years!

We thought our original goal of $20,000 was ambitious, but we more than doubled it. This tells us that our people understand the importance of grassroots fundraising, which allows us to run the campaigns that workers need. It gives us the flexibility to respond when crises hit. It means that our members and supporters see the work that we’re doing and know all the reasons why worker organizing during the pandemic and a time of nationwide uprising demanding racial justice is important right now.

Grassroots fundraising makes up 30% of our annual income every year (that was about $102,000 in 2019). This comes from our monthly sustainers, membership dues, one-time donations, and money raised during our anniversary and end-of-year fund drives.
